Me dressed as a royal announcer for the beautiful themed wedding at Kryal Castle

In November 2024, I had the pleasure of being both Celebrant and MC at the wedding of Bree and Christopher at Kryal Castle. The setting was magical — we were dressed in full medieval garb, the bride shared a dance with her father dressed as Henry VIII, there was a Shakespeare performance and there was even a live joust.

It was the kind of wedding people will talk about for years.

Why Themed Weddings Are So Special

Themed weddings are a brilliant way to celebrate your big day in a style that's true to you. Whether you're into fantasy, history, pop culture, or something totally out of the box, there are now costumes, décor, venues, and vendors to match nearly any vision.

You don’t have to go all-in to enjoy the magic — some couples simply reference the theme through outfits or music, while others opt for a fully immersive experience. The best part? It's your choice.

Here’s why I love them:

  • They reflect your unique passions and personalities.

  • They're often more fun and relaxed than traditional weddings.

  • Guests walk away with an unforgettable experience.

Want to Bring Your Passion Into Your Wedding?

If there's something you both truly love — be it Star Wars, Shakespeare, steampunk, or Studio Ghibli — you can integrate it into your ceremony.

As a celebrant with a background in performance and theatre, I can help write and deliver a ceremony that fits your theme perfectly — and yes, I’m more than happy to dress the part!

If you’re planning a themed wedding (or dreaming of one), I’d love to hear your ideas. Let’s make it happen.
